Urban public transportation plays a crucial role in the daily mobility of citizens, especially in medium-sized cities like Ambato, Ecuador. This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction levels with different urban transport cooperatives through a data-driven approach. A total of 123 responses were collected via a digitally distributed survey using QR codes, with a methodological focus on individuals aged 20 to 40 due to their higher digital literacy. The questionnaire included dimensions such as comfort and safety, risk perception, and punctuality. The analysis, conducted through Power BI, revealed differentiated levels of satisfaction across service dimensions. Comfort and safety received a mean rating of 41.5%, while risk perception reached 53.8%. Punctuality, evaluated through a single item, showed a favorable perception from 66.7% of users. These findings indicate specific areas of concern, such as perceptions of security and cleanliness, which require attention from transport providers and local authorities. The results provide a scalable model for user satisfaction assessment that can be replicated in other urban contexts. Moreover, the integration of business intelligence tools facilitates evidencebased decision-making and supports future initiatives to enhance urban mobility systems in Ecuador and Latin America. © 2025 IEEE.

Inclusive education and psychological wellbeing: Support strategies for students in diverse settings
This study examines the relationship between inclusive education and psychological wellbeing, emphasizing pedagogical and institutional strategies that promote students’ active participation in diverse educational contexts. The purpose of the research is to analyze the main barriers affecting inclusion and emotional wellbeing in school settings and to identify support strategies with the greatest perceived impact on students’ engagement and retention. A qualitative, hermeneutic-interpretative approach was adopted, based on a documentary review of scientific literature published between 2020 and 2025. Peer-reviewed articles, policy documents, and institutional reports were selected from recognized databases such as Scopus, SciELO, ERIC, and IEEE Xplore. The analysis focused on inclusive education, psychological wellbeing, teacher training, socioemotional strategies, and educational policy. The results reveal that the most significant barriers to inclusive education are insufficient teacher training in inclusive and socioemotional practices (reported in 85% of the reviewed studies), the disconnect between pedagogical strategies and students’ psychological needs (78%), and the lack of adaptive educational resources (72%). Additionally, limited emotional support systems and weak institutional policies oriented toward wellbeing contribute to higher levels of demotivation and school dropout, particularly in vulnerable regions. Conversely, strategies such as Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) showed the highest perceived impact, with effectiveness scores of 4.6 and 4.4 out of 5, respectively. The study concludes that inclusive education cannot be achieved without systematically addressing students’ psychological wellbeing. Integrating socioemotional education, strengthening teacher training, and aligning public policies with inclusive and human-centered approaches are essential to fostering equitable, safe, and meaningful learning environments. These findings highlight the need for comprehensive educational models that connect pedagogical, emotional, and institutional dimensions.

This study aimed to: identify the attribute factors related to the image of a marine protected area and determine which of these factors explain tourist satisfaction and behavioral loyalty. The study was conducted in the Galápagos Islands, a marine protected area in Ecuador, South America. A total of 407 tourist questionnaires were collected on-site, including both domestic and international visitors, and factor analysis techniques along with multiple linear regressions were applied. The findings reveal four factors in the image attributes of marine protected areas: Staff Attention, Tourist Facilities, Nature, and Cultural Activities. Among the factors that explain satisfaction with the tourist destination, as well as the intention to recommend it and speak positively about it, Nature and Staff Attention at the destination were identified. Meanwhile, the Cultural Activities factor best explains the intentions to revisit the destination. These results can be useful for marine protected area managers in developing sustainable management plans. © LEIRD 2025.All rights reserved.

This study examines the key factors that influence tourists’ perceptions of destination quality and loyalty in the context of adventure tourism in Santa Elena, Ecuador, an emerging destination in Latin America. A quantitative approach was used, with data collected through an online questionnaire completed by 318 participants. Structural equation modeling was conducted using SmartPLS 4 to examine the relationships between motivational constructs (intellectual curiosity, health assurance, stress relief, physical condition, and social connection), perceived destination quality, and loyalty. The findings reveal that health assurance (β = 0.395, p < 0.001), stress relief (β = 0.417, p < 0.001), and intellectual curiosity (β = 0.143, p = 0.010) significantly influence perceived destination quality, while social connection and physical condition did not show significant effects. Moreover, perceived destination quality strongly predicts tourist loyalty (β = 0.634, p < 0.001). The model explains 63.5% of the variance in destination quality and 48.1% of that in loyalty. These results highlight the importance of post-pandemic health concerns, emotional well-being, and intellectual engagement as drivers of satisfaction and loyalty in adventure tourism. While existing research has largely focused on motivations and quality perceptions in adventure tourism within developed regions, studies in post-pandemic settings across Latin America—especially using validated structural models—remain scarce. This study also contributes to filling a gap in the literature by analyzing post-pandemic tourist behavior in Latin America, an underexplored context in existing research on sustainable and adventure tourism. The findings offer theoretical contributions to the field of adventure tourism and practical recommendations for destination managers seeking to enhance their competitiveness and visitor retention in the post-pandemic context.

Technological Pedagogical Strategies in the Improvement of Basic Functions and Management of Mathematical Operations
This study aimed to analyze the contribution of techno-pedagogical strategies in strengthening mastery in mathematical multiplication with students at the basic elementary level in Ecuador. The post-positivist paradigm, quantitative approach, quasi-experimental and comparative design was used, with pre-test and post-test to 4 groups (A, N, B and G) of 30 students each. The first A was the control and the remaining three N, B and G, the experimental ones. During the pre-test, the groups received training through demonstration strategies in the classroom, exercises and teamwork, evaluated with a knowledge test of ten exercises with true and false options. The following week (post-test), group A received reinforcement with the same strategies, while the others received it simultaneously in separate classrooms, with different teachers, using technological strategies based on the tools Nearpod, Blooket and Genially, to be evaluated again using the same strategy. The results indicate that for group A, there were no significant differences between the median scores (p ≥ 0.05) while, in the remaining groups, a significant improvement was observed (p = 0.000), where group B, using the Blooket resource, reflected a greater increase in the median score. It is concluded that these resources can be integrated as pedagogical strategies and significantly favor the mastery of the basic mathematical function in multiplication and specifically with the use of Blooket, highlighting the importance of technological innovation in educational training.

Digital tools in the development of social skills: The role of the teacher as facilitator
The paper analyzes the role of the teacher in the development of social skills of seventh and eighth grade students through the integration of digital tools. The aim was to evaluate the impact of technology-mediated pedagogical strategies on the social and academic development of students. A quasi-experimental design with a mixed approach was used; a pretest-posttest was applied to a control group (traditional teaching) and an experimental group (digital tools: Educaplay, Kahoot, Genially, Google Meet). A validated CHASO questionnaire and classroom observation sheets were applied, assessing social skills and teaching practices. SPSS was used (t-tests, Kolmogorov-Smirnov), and qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The experimental group showed a significant improvement in social skills and academic performance compared to the control group. Technological tools enhanced motivation, although individual challenges persisted. The teaching guide mediated the use of technology and fostered empathetic and collaborative environments. The integration of digital tools in the classroom effectively promotes the development of social skills and digital competencies. However, it may vary due to individual and contextual factors, and teacher intervention is necessary. Curricular designs that promote the integration of digital tools in the classroom are recommended.
