Hernández-Lugo; Yunier Broche-PérezExecutive functions are high-level cognitive abilities that enable individuals to regulate their behavior and thought processes consciously. In the university setting, students must effectively utilize these functions to achieve success in both their personal and academic development. The key executive functions relevant to the university context include: the supervisory attentional system, deliberate emotional regulation, conscious monitoring of responsibilities, behavior verification for learning, task organization, conscious behavior regulation, and decision-making. This dataset comprises 1373 surveys from university students in Ecuador and Chile, aged between 17 and 33 years (Mage = 20.53, SD = 2.34). It includes descriptive statistical values for the sample, item responses, and detailed descriptions of each evaluated variable. An innovative approach that combines the accuracy of artificial intelligence (AI) with the depth of neuropsychological assessments is needed. Objectives: This paper presents a novel protocol for AI-assisted neurocognitive assessment aimed at addressing the cognitive, emotional, and functional dimensions of older adults with psychiatric disorders. It also explores potential compensatory mechanisms. Methodology: The proposed protocol incorporates a comprehensive, personalized approach to neurocognitive evaluation. It integrates a series of standardized and validated psychometric tests with individualized interpretation tailored to the patient’s specific conditions. The protocol utilizes AI to enhance diagnostic accuracy by analyzing data from these tests and supplementing observations made by researchers. Anticipated results: The AI-assisted protocol offers several advantages, including a thorough and customized evaluation of neurocognitive functions. It employs machine learning algorithms to analyze test results, generating an individualized neurocognitive profile that highlights patterns and trends useful for clinical decision-making. The integration of AI allows for a deeper understanding of the patient’s cognitive and emotional state, as well as potential compensatory strategies. Conclusions: By integrating AI with neuro-psychological evaluation, this protocol aims to significantly improve the quality of neurocognitive assessments. Hernández-Lugo; Yunier Broche-PérezIntroduction: Executive functions are higher cognitive skills involved in planning, organization, decision-making, impulse control, and working memory. It is essential to have tools that allow for the accurate and reliable assessment of this construct in university students. This study aims to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Executive Functions Scale for University Students (UEF-1) in the Cuban population. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in which an online survey was administered to 1,092 Cuban university students representing 14 of the country’s 16 provinces. Descriptive analyses, confirmatory factor analyses, and Pearson correlation analyses were used to assess the psychometric properties of the scale. Results: Significant correlations were obtained between the scale factors, and the original seven-factor structure was confirmed. The scale demonstrated good internal consistency and overall reliability (α = 0.91, ω = 0.91). Conclusion: The study provided evidence that the UEF-1 is a reliable and valid tool for assessing executive functions in Cuban university students. This measure provides a comprehensive understanding of the cognitive abilities and functioning of Cuban university students, allowing for the identification of specific areas of executive functioning that may benefit from additional support or intervention.17 1 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Hernández-Lugo ;Zoylen Fernández-FleitesUnderstanding brain health is crucial, particularly in the context of emerging public health challenges. In this scenario, this dataset aims to provide insights into Cuban youth's perceptions and awareness of brain health. The database includes information from 1, 049 Cuban participants aged between 18 and 45 years. The database is the result of a cross-sectional study conducted online, between June 30 and December 12, 2022. To explore conceptions of brain health among the Cuban population, the study utilized ``The Global Brain Health Survey''. The primary aim of this survey is to examine attitudes toward brain health and to identify factors that may encourage individuals to adopt brain health practices. By identifying knowledge gaps and misconceptions, this study highlights opportunities for improving public health initiatives tailored to this demographic. Understanding the perceptions of young people is critical, as many brain disorders develop long before clinical symptoms appear. The findings aim to inform strategies that enhance awareness and prevention efforts, ultimately contributing to better brain health outcomes among Cuban youth.19
