Dialogical Ethical Leadership Management Tools: An Organizational Development Opportunity for Productive Efficiency

The objective of the research is to link dialogical ethical leadership with the improvement of organizational management, seeking to enhance productive efficiency in the performance of functions in jobs. The exercise of leadership must be inserted in the application of management models of skills, human talent and knowledge as a single unit to replace the traditional management model based on vertical hierarchical processes that produce bureaucratization of work. It is proposed to exercise argumentative ethical leadership in all jobs from an intensive communication dynamic, capable of recognizing the worker as a reward for efficient work. The research was developed under the hermeneutic-documentary approach, exercising an assessment and critical posture that aims to generate contributions to the wonderful world of managerial sciences. © 2022, Universidad del Zulia. Decisive Factors of Business Dynamism in Latin America: An Approach from the New Institutional Economy Perspective

In recent years, the business sector has experienced significant dynamism worldwide, a fact that has sparked interest from different fields: academically, politically and socially, and a series of questions have been raised about the different factors that drive business growth. In this context, the New Institutional Economy has been taken as a reference in order to explain the behavior of this phenomenon based on the analysis of both formal and informal institutions of companies. The objective of this research is to analyze the factors that influence business dynamism. In order to fulfill the objective, the applied methodology was based on the application of statistical techniques of multivariate analysis, specifically, hierarchical cluster analysis. Teleworking modality in times of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ecuador

The 21st century comes with a technological development that changes, renews and improves, according to the requirements of society and companies. This article aims to analyze the work modality, called teleworking in Ecuador, examine the legal regulations to apply it in the business sector, determine its evolution during the COVID-19 health pandemic decreed by Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director of the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020 and verify the effects of its application. The methodology used was bibliographic-documentary through the analysis of the legal regulations, texts, articles, data and statistics published by the Ecuadorian state and other materials related to the subject. The results were obtained that this type of work contributed to save approximately 63,200 jobs, partially sustaining companies, increased workplace harassment and abuse by employers, lack of physical infrastructure, failures in connection systems and /or transfer of data, among others. It was concluded that telework, implemented on a mandatory basis in 2020, is an effective work alternative in the business sector, has sufficient legal regulations in force in the country and protected the health of the Ecuadorian inhabitants. © 2021

Business Growth in Ecuador: A Perspective from Penrose’s Theory of Resources and Capabilities

In recent years, the business sector worldwide has experienced significant growth; several elements have contributed to this result, among them, resources and business and managerial capabilities stand out. Likewise, proper combination of productive resources is a precise formula that generates a competitive advantage that, in turn, makes a company unique in relation to the competition. In this context, business growth is directly related to the merger of a series of new resources, accompanied with the appropriate management of human talent. The objective of this research is focused on analysis of the factors that influence Ecuadorian business growth. To fulfill this objective, the methodology was based on the application of the two-stage cluster statistical analysis technique that groups data sets into different groups or combinations. Obstacles that Limit Innovation in Activities Related to Ecuador’s Productive Sectors MSMEs

This paper studies the main obstacles that limit innovation in activities related to productive sectors in Ecuadorian companies with less than 200 workers (micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, MSMEs). The aim is to identify those obstacles that directly keep the sectorial innovation from growing. The study used a quantitative and explanatory analysis using the results presented by the Superintendency of Companies of Ecuador at the end of 2023. At the national level, there were the following numbers of companies: Micro (62,724), Small (21,305) and Medium (6,135). The results show that companies are working inefficiently in relation to growth in innovation, representing current technological challenges. The conclusions present proposals and recommendations for micro-entities to survive and compete better in the current environment, through a guide of good practices that will positively influence the innovation and modernization of their companies.
